Planning Commission Study Session This Wednesday
In an effort to learn more about the Big Wave Project, the Planning Commission will hold a Study Session this Wednesday at 8:00 AM in the Board of Supervisors Chambers in Redwood City. The intention of this meeting is for the Commissioners to discuss key project issues with their staff and EIR consultants. It is not intended to be a forum in which the Commissioners hear public testimony on the merits of the project.
Unfortunately, the opposition is mobilizing to use the public comment period to take control of the meeting. The Big Wave Team respects the initial intention of the Commissioners and, while a few of us will speak up in support of the project, we are not encouraging public testimony in the way that we usually do. Instead, given the recent development of the opposition's desire to obstruct the process, we invite our supporters to attend in order to remind the Commissioners of the broad community support of Big Wave.
The next hearing for the Big Wave Project is tentatively scheduled for March 10 and will require demonstrations of support. We will be in touch with details of the hearing as they develop. Thank you for your continued support of Big Wave.
